Tripping with Earth (Jupiter-Pluto)
6 Jul 2011, 3:43 pm

A most auspicious aspect is happening here at the end of the week. The Jupiter-Pluto trine in earth signs (Taurus-Capricorn) means we win big by fortifying our lives with what's real, authentic, pleasurable, solid and timeless. There's power to turn goals into concrete realities. It's exact Thursday, July 7th at 10:06 am est, but the formidable muscle of this combo is with us all month and into August (traveling at close orb).

Make the most of this aspect by being grounded and aware of your physical surroundings (town, region or country), acting on your earthy wisdom that comes from some ancient place. It's a great time for a restorative nature fix, or finding ways to re-integrate the natural into your life. To survive and thrive (Jupiter!), all the indigenous prophecies for this time say very clearly, come back to Earth. For some, it's a matter of taking steps in that direction, but this aspect is an invite for a quantum leap.

We were honored back in June to host Native American leader Dennis Banks overnight, on his way across America -- The Longest Walk 3 for Diabetes. He's an elder of his Anishinaabe tribe, and known also as Nowa Cumig in the Ojibwe language, which means "In the Center of the Ground." Elder Banks co-founded the American Indian Movement in 1968, which once occupied Alcatraz Island. A new documentary, A Good Day to Die, tells the story of his life as an Ojibwa Warrior.

Watching him honor Hawk (seen here), and hearing his take on the critical times we're living in, reminded me that there are nations within nations. There are histories and stories yet to be unearthed and inspired by. And there's magnificent power that comes from journeying (Jupiter) with Earth, and recovering from this illusion that we're something apart.

Pluto is about healing crisis, recovering from toxicity, dying and being reborn, regeneration. I see this aspect as a chance to find ways to flourish by stubbornly rooting in to a lifestyle that is aligned with natural law, the organic, prolific, stable, self-replicating, self-sufficient. To grow things like a love of good food, sensuality, artful ways, respect for elders and adventures in knowledge-seeking about the ancient history of Earth. To revive a sense of the sacred, and penetrating sight to know how to move into the future with feet firmly planted.
